Separate four questions: where the editor runs, where a game can export, whether C# is available there, and whether project dependencies are built for the target architecture. A platform source directory does not establish your installation’s readiness.
Before choosing a target
- Confirm a matching export template and the required .NET variant.
- Inventory external libraries/plugins. A desktop DLL does not automatically work on Android or Web.
- Check renderer, input, paths, saves and permissions on the real target.
- Separate build, installation, launch and publication: each can fail independently.
Start with Android for mobile. For browsers read Web requirements and the C# limitation. For standalone headsets use Android XR.
Keep one small portability scene covering loading, input, audio and save write/read. Running it successfully is stronger evidence than assuming the entire project portable because it compiles. This page does not validate a complete device/platform matrix.
