OpenXRCompositionLayerQuad

Flat OpenXR layer surface with ray-to-UV intersection.

On this page
class OpenXRCompositionLayerQuadReckfellSharpInherits OpenXRCompositionLayer

Flat rectangular composition layer. QuadSize controls surface dimensions; LayerViewport.Size controls UI resolution. Match their aspect ratios. Change QuadSize instead of Scale and keep an orthonormal global transform without inherited scale/shear.

Inherited IntersectsRay dispatches to the Quad implementation: a world-space ray produces UV or (-1,-1), with Y downward. It considers no walls, visibility, current tracking or GUI focus and generates no click. The QuadUiRay helper adds guards and pixel conversion.

QuadSize is currently forwarded to the native layer without WorldScale conversion; the executed example is limited to WorldScale=1. Verify real native/fallback dimensions at other scales separately. Base viewport, alpha, hole-punch and ownership rules apply.

SDK 1.0.0 execution covered constructor/dimensions, viewport assignment, translated/rotated ray mapping and scale rejection. Actual compositor, imagery, controller/GUI and export remain unverified. Engine unchanged.

Declarations checked against C# SDK 1.0.0. Expand a name to see declarations and documentation.

Constructors1

OpenXRCompositionLayerQuadConstructor
# OpenXRCompositionLayerQuad
C#
public OpenXRCompositionLayerQuad();

Creates a flat layer with QuadSize=(1,1), SortOrder=1 and AlphaBlend/EnableHolePunch disabled. Does not start XR or assign a viewport. An ordinary mesh fallback may be used after tree attachment; Entity existence does not establish native composition.

Properties1

QuadSizeProperty
# QuadSize
C#
public Vector2 QuadSize { get; set; }

Quad surface dimensions, initially Vector2(1,1), separate from viewport pixel Size. Use positive components and a suitable aspect ratio; the setter stores values without positivity validation, updates native size and marks fallback geometry dirty. Do not substitute Entity Scale. Native size is forwarded directly without WorldScale conversion; the executed example is limited to WorldScale=1.

Methods2

GetQuadSizeVector2
# GetQuadSize
C#
public Vector2 GetQuadSize();

Returns the stored value.

Returns Vector2

Quad surface dimensions, initially Vector2(1,1), separate from viewport pixel Size. Use positive components and a suitable aspect ratio; the setter stores values without positivity validation, updates native size and marks fallback geometry dirty. Do not substitute Entity Scale. Native size is forwarded directly without WorldScale conversion; the executed example is limited to WorldScale=1.

SetQuadSizevoid
# SetQuadSize
C#
public void SetQuadSize(Vector2 size);

Stores configuration.
