RF0201: Signal delegate name must end in EventHandler

The generator derives the event name by removing the exact EventHandler suffix from the delegate name.

On this page

For a C# project using Reckfell.NET.Sdk 1.0.0. Fix the first build error first: later messages may be a consequence.

Cause

The generator derives the event name by removing the exact EventHandler suffix from the delegate name.

Fix

Rename Changed to ChangedEventHandler. The generated event and SignalName remain Changed.

Failing example

Save the file in a test C# project and run dotnet build. This version intentionally fails to build.

Example.cs
C#
using Reckfell;

namespace DiagnosticExamples.RF0201;

public partial class Example : Entity { [Signal] public delegate void Changed(int value); }

Expected messages: RF0201.

Working version

Replace the failing version with these files; do not keep both declarations in the project.

Example.cs
C#
using Reckfell;

namespace DiagnosticExamples.RF0201;

public partial class Example : Entity
{
    [Signal] public delegate void ChangedEventHandler(int value);
    public void Publish() => EmitSignal(SignalName.Changed, 7);
}

Result

A Changed subscriber receives 7 after Publish(). C# code uses the Changed event rather than ChangedEventHandler.
