XRControllerTracker

Controller state supplied by an XR interface.

On this page
class XRControllerTrackerReckfellSharpInherits XRPositionalTracker

XRControllerTracker inherits XRPositionalTracker and sets Type=Controller. Constructing it does not connect a controller: a new object has an empty Profile, Hand=Unknown and no poses. Usually the XR interface creates and updates trackers while XRController3D reads them in a gameplay rig.

Tracker name, hand assignment, profile and pose availability are separate data. Setting Name=left_hand does not itself set Hand=Left or create input. Stored button values can remain after tracking loss; gate interactions when the required pose or focus is lost.

The current C# SDK inherits GetInput/SetInput with Obsolete even though its message recommends XRControllerTracker. Constructing this subclass therefore does not remove the compiler warning. Use XRController3D for gameplay reads; do not suppress warnings for ordinary input handling.

Defaults, poses and synthetic input were checked. This does not establish device connection, an OpenXR session or vibration. Practical rig: XR components.

Declarations checked against C# SDK 1.0.0. Expand a name to see declarations and documentation.
